Exposing the anti-union network

The 2010 midterm elections are right around the corner, and the assault on workers and their unions has never been louder—or better funded. The anti-union network is pumping unprecedented funds into races around the country to oppose pro-worker candidates and policies. These are the same big money extremists that fought hard against the Employee Free Choice Act, raising the minimum wage, and even equal pay for women.

It’s time to stop them—and their undisclosed donors—before they do any more damage. So we’ve put together a report that provides background info on the most nefarious of these groups: American Crossroads, Americans for Job Security, Americans for Prosperity, The Club for Growth, Freedom Works, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Some highlights from the report: Americans for Prosperity, which fought against the Employee Free Choice Act and even unemployment benefit extensions, is funded by the winner of the 2006 “Outsourcing Excellence Award”—Koch Industries. Both Americans for Prosperity and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have run attack ads so misleading that they’ve been pulled off the air.

Speaking of the Chamber, Think Progress revealed today that the Chamber has been using foreign funding to run attack ads to impact political races here at home. If there were any lingering doubts about where the Chamber’s allegiance lies, we can put them to rest once and for all. It’s clear that the Chamber and the rest of the anti-union network could just as accurately be described as the anti-worker network.

And for those of us committed to rebuilding our economy and middle class, we simply can’t afford to let their attacks on America’s hardworking women and men go unanswered.

The sad and UGLY truth is that the United States Chamber of Commerce is nothing but a UNION BUSTING SCAB OUTFIT, period.
